Journals - The United Nations In Your World
For ten years Passaic Valley has been working with Global Education Motivators (GEM) and their United Nations programs. Their videoconferencing programs in 2013 emphasize the work being done by the United Nations and the global community to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

Part I was titled The United Nations and You. Students spoke with Nathalie Leroy, the Chief of the Education Outreach Cluster in the UN Department of Public Information (DPI). She presented to the students about the work of the DPI. Other sites involved in this program were schools in Canada, Mexico and New Jersey

Part II was titled The MDGs: How Important Are They? Students spoke with Mohsin Mohi-Ud Din, Associate Information Officer for the Development Section, Strategic Communications Division at the United Nations. He is also a blogger at the Huffington Post. He has a lot of passion for the bright future of the world and the success of the MDGs. Other sites involved in this program were schools in Canada, Mexico and New Jersey.
