Journals - Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen
CITVC student Alexa Fontanella planned this videoconference for her classmates. Carolyn Fontanella (Alexa's mother) was integral in making this videoconference possible.
Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen videoconference

CITVC was treated to an on-site visit from our Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R) who now represents the three towns of Little Falls, Totowa and Woodland Park due to the redistricting in January 2013. He wanted to see our school and talk directly with the students in the Contemporary Issues through Videoconferencing class.

Congressman Frelinghuysen spoke about his work in Congress and his views on the economy and the use of drones in Afghanistan. He gave our class a special gift, a United States flag that has been flown at the Capitol building!

"Having the opportunity to meet and talk to Congressman Frelinghuysen in person was a moment I will never forget. It was great to see how down-to-earth and funny he is. I feel it was a great moment when the Congressman took time to individually shake each students' hand before he left. We not only talked about local issues but also about events happening nationally and internationally."  -Alexa
